Nyko Founded

Nyko Technologies Inc. was officially formed by Herschel Naghi and receives the Sony® license for several PlayStation® accessories

1996

Nyko Releases the Worm Light

Nyko released the Worm Light, a patented white LED light system for the GameBoy Color and GameBoy Advance. In total, millions of the various incarnations of the Worm Light were sold making it the best selling accessory of all time in its day.

1999

Nyko PlayStation 2 Memory Cards Released

Nyko earns the exclusive license for PlayStation 2 Memory cards featuring MagicGate Technology.

2000

AirFlo Technology Introduced

Nyko introduces patented AirFlo technology placing a small fan in the controller to cool the hands of gamers during intense game play

2002

AirFlo Wins Innovations Award

Nyko’s AirFlo technology wins the prestigious Innovation Award at the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) highlighting innovative consumer electronics and technology

2004

Theater Experience Garners Nyko's a second Innovations Award

Nyko’s flagship PSP product the Theater Experience is debuted at the 2006 CES and wins Nyko its second Innovation Award in 3 years. Nyko also debuts the Intercooler 360 for the Xbox 360 with over 2 million units shipped to date.

Charge Station for Wii Becomes #1 Selling Accessory

Nyko announces their Wii and PlayStation 3 line of accessories including the Charge Station for Wii, the best selling 3rd party accessory at this time.

Nyko Wins Best of CES Award

Nyko's Kama Wireless Controller for Wii wins the Cnet Best of CES 2008 Award in the Gaming category.

Nyko Wins Second Straight Best of CES Award

Nyko Technologies wins its second straight CNet and CEA Best of CES 2009 award in the gaming Category for the Wand and its innovative Trans-Port Technology.

2009

Zoom for Kinect® Launches

Nyko innovates again by developing lens technology that allows users to play Kinect® in up to 40% less space.

2011

PlayPad and PlayPad Pro Ship to Retailers

Nyko launches the first Android controller in partnership with NVidia®, built on the Google® HID standard.

Twice VIP Award - 2013

Nyko wins the TWICE magazine VIP Award in gaming accessories for the PlayPad Pro

Amazon Fire TV Partnership

Nyko’s PlayPad Pro becomes the first 3rd party controller to earn the “Made for Kindle” license for Amazon Fire TV

2014

Modular Line Developed and Launched

After inventing controller charging docks in the previous generation, Nyko develops a whole new line of products that attach directly to the console, pull power from USB 3.0 and are cross compatible with each other to expand the functionality of the consoles.

Data Bank for PS4 Wins TWICE VIP Award

The Data Bank for PS4 wins the 3rd annual TWICE VIP award for Gaming Peripherals. This is Nyko's second win in the 3 year history of the awards.

Nyko Wins The TWICE Picks Award for Data Bank Pro

Data Bank Pro for PS4™ Slim and Pro Wins the TWICE Picks Award in the Gaming Peripherals category at CES 2017.
